Svinøya Rorbuer has one of Lofoten’s most renowned restaurants. Børsen Spiseri is housed in an old pier from 1828, and great care has been taken to preserve the original character. Most of the old features have been retained here too, creating an atmosphere with the smell of tar and tamp. Both meat and fish dishes are served here. The menu changes with the seasons and the availability of ingredients.
Børsen Spiseri is open every day from 18:00 – 22:00 and has approx. 120 seats.
Børsen Spiseri suits every occasion, whether you come alone, with your loved one, good friends or with all your colleagues, we guarantee to do our utmost to make you happy.
Our parent company, L. Bergs Sønner, has its fish farm 50 meters from our restaurant. They also have a fish reception facility in Laukvik on the north side of Lofoten (“yttersia”). This makes us very privileged in terms of access to fresh fish, and our chefs can pick out the finest fish. Not many other restaurants can boast of having their own fish farm.
When we serve lutefisk, boknafisk, stockfish or fresh skrei, we are proud to say that the fish has been delivered from the fisherman, processed, filleted or hung on a reel and served – here on Svinøya. At Børsen Spiseri, our guests can enjoy delicious Arctic fish dishes in a cozy pier atmosphere with the scent of tar and seaweed!
On the same pier is Krambua, which is a small museum in itself. Here you’ll find old goods and equipment from days gone by, taking you back 100 years in time! Feel free to have an aperitif in here before your meal. There’s a little bit of everything to study on the shelves and under the ceiling.
For larger groups, we can set up at the fish farm and serve a fantastic seafood buffet.
