Here we find inspiration and take benefit of the resources this wild, beautiful nature so generously offers.
From the sea we can offer fresh fish that the local fishing fleet brings in to the harbour, or we prepare the raw materials based on methods handed down through the centuries as drying, bokning ( half curing), salting methods, curing and smoking.
Lofoten has for centuries exported much of their fish to other countries, and many of our traditional dishes reflect that we through the years have been inspired by this international contact, but it's still based on our own arctic raw materials. In a world that everything is becoming closer to us, we see it as our task to preserve our traditional dishes, but still be developing new courses based on our arctic resources.
In addition to enjoying good food with us, the restaurant is also a showcase of highly talented local artists.
