We want to give our customers close contact with the wildlife and the magnificent landscape we surround ourselves with. On the trips, we also emphasize sharing our knowledge of Lofoten’s culture and history.
Lofoten Opplevelser arranges a Nature/Sea Eagle Safari 15.06 to 15.08 for individuals. Out of season, by appointment. Nordland is the kingdom of the sea eagles, here is the largest concentration of sea eagles in the whole world. In the immediate area outside Henningsvær, we have several pairs, each with its own territory.
Lofoten Opplevelser arranges a Midnight Sun Safari from 01.06 to 15.08. Henningsvær is located 200 km north of the Arctic Circle. From 23. May we have sun around the clock. At night, the sun is low and the light is at its most beautiful. With large RIB boats, we go from Henningsvær and west through narrow straits out to the open sea on the outer side. We look for sea eagles, puffins and seals on the trip. If we are lucky, we will also encounter whales.

Lofoten Opplevelser arranges summer snorkeling in dry suits from 10. June to 15. August. In the summer, there is a lot of life in the sea and with 20 meters of visibility, there are perfect conditions for snorkeling. The temperature in the sea is between 10-16 degrees. Dressed in dry suits, the low temperature is no problem. We go with RIB boats out into the archipelago and snorkel in different places.
Lofoten Opplevelser arranges orca safaris and snorkeling with orcas from Andenes in Vesterålen. We have daily departures from 01.12.2015 to 07.02.2016, including New Year’s weekend. There are no safaris during the Christmas weekend from 19.12. to 27.12.2015. The Gulf Stream blesses our coast with one of the mildest winter climates in Norway
Walking in the water with the killer whales is a powerful and unforgettable encounter with nature. Lofoten Opplevelser has over 20 years of experience in the field. Dressed in warm dry suits, mask and snorkel, you float comfortably on the surface. When you stick your head under water, everything is perceived as quiet at first, then you suddenly hear the whales communicating, see herring and herring shells floating around.
Lofoten Opplevelser arranges Northern Lights safaris from Andenes in Vesterålen. We have daily departures from 01.12.2015 to 07.02.2016, including New Year’s weekend. There are no safaris during the Christmas weekend from 19.12. to 27.12.2015.
Greenish, pink, purple dancing play of colors over a dark sky. It’s incredibly beautiful. Explosions on the sun eject electrical particles. When these hit the atmosphere, it is the gases that glow. The colours reflect the gases that are up there.

For smaller groups, it can be both relaxing and exciting with a more private touch on the journey. For example, we can take you on a combined fishing and snorkeling trip, and afterwards prepare a dinner together from the day’s catch in a home setting.
Lofoten Opplevelser has its main base in Henningsvær. Henningsvær is a fishing village in Vågan municipality with approx. 500 inhabitants. The place has many accommodations, restaurants, cafes, bars, galleries and nice little arts and crafts shops. The nearest airport is Helle/ Svolvær Airport, approx. 30 km from Henningsvær.
In the period 01.12 to 07.02 we run orca safaris with base camp at Andenes in Vesterålen. Andenes has its own airport, several accommodation options, restaurants, cafes and bars. There is also a research centre for the Northern Lights.
