Volume one was well received by locals and tourists alike, and is still in demand. Volume two deals with a number of new bird species that have been observed in Lofoten, including some rare ones, with pictures and text in Norwegian and English. Some of the same species that are mentioned in the first book are also included, but this time with new and better pictures and new texts. The texts in this volume are also, in the main, even more connected to Lofoten and in many cases stock assessments are given in accordance with The IUCN red list, as well as information on discoveries of the species in Lofoten.
The new book is made in the same format and design as the previous book, so that it should feel natural to use both at the same time. Both books are equipped with an index so that it should be easy to find.
