Thursday 7. January, the trip started at the village of Liland, Laupstad in Lofoten. They walked up towards Geitgallien (Geitgaljen) in Austnesfjorden. Since the sun hadn’t yet risen, Frank and Christian walked on to Trollsadelen where the sun smiled warmly at them and they smiled back happily.
They continued down Trollrenna to Trollfjordvatnet, and then hiked up North Gully next to Italian Summit. After just under 10 hours, Frank and Christian were back at the starting point on Liland.
