ÅrsteinØYA 2017 music festival

From 30 June to 1 July, it is in the small village of Årstein in Austre Vågan that it happens.

Årstein is located at the south-west tip of Norway’s largest island, namely Hinnøya. The festival has been named “ÅrsteinØYA 2017”, and for many Årstein is known for its horticulture and large production of flowers.

The organizers consist of landowners, permanent residents and cottage owners who together want to promote the small village. The landowners on the island have together set aside a lot of space in the farmyards to have room for motorhomes, caravans and tents. Car parks have also been developed and a new floating jetty has also been installed. According to the organiser, good weather has of course been booked, but if the weather does not permit, indoor premises have been arranged for possible refuge.

Bob Dylan in Northern Norwegian with the local Johan Årstein, Lars Bremnes with band and Lisa Skoglund are among several artists who are on the agenda for this summer’s new festival.
