Vikten
Vikten is a village in Flakstad municipality. The place is located in the north of the eastern part of Flakstadøya, at the end of county road 811, which is part of the National Tourist Route Lofoten.
Here the Arctic Ocean stands in and grinds stone into beautiful sculptures, here the midnight sun colors the landscape in warm shades. The habitable strip between sea and mountains is not wide, but the people of Vikten have made the most of the barren conditions.
Åsvar Tangrand started here in 1976 with glassblowing, as the first in Northern Norway. Today, you will find several handicraft attractions, as well as a nice café here.
