Ramberg Municipal Centre for Flakstad
Ramberg is the municipal center of Flakstad municipality and is beautifully located by one of the most beautiful sandy beaches in Lofoten.
At Ramberg you will find, among other things, tourist information, library, school, department store, gas station, car repair shop, year-round restaurant/bar and several accommodations. Ramberg is one of the few villages on the outer side of Lofoten and is therefore perfectly located to be able to see and enjoy the midnight sun.
The applied artist Johs Røde has his own gallery at Ramberg. Smeden in Sund, Glasshytta at Vikten and the protected fishing village of Nusfjord are all in close proximity to the fishing village of Ramberg.
Flakstad municipality’s business community is dominated by fishing. The fishing fleet consists mostly of smaller boats, and the Lofoten fishery is the dominant fishery. The largest fishing village is Napp. There are several fish farms in the municipality. Agriculture is mainly based on combined farms with fishing and sheep farming, in addition to some larger farms with cattle farming.
