Å in Lofoten The end point of the E10 in Lofoten
Å in Lofoten is an old, traditional fishing village with fisherman’s cabins and piers. The place is located on Moskenesøya in Moskenes municipality and is the end point of European route 10.
Å has a large accommodation capacity (over 500 beds) divided into both fisherman’s cabins, sea houses, hostels, apartments, rooms and camping.
Here you will find two great museums, the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum and the Lofoten Stockfish Museum.
Until about 1950, there were several small villages west of Å and around Lofotodden. The relocation was completed in 1951 after the state provided a subsidy for relocation.
