There is a 9 hole golf course in Lofoten, set in scenic seaside surroundings. In the summer, you can play golf all day and all night long.

Lofoten Golf Links is a 9 hole golf course overlooking the ocean, with a clear view to the north. The jagged Lofoten mountains, together with the ever shifting light conditions, offer you more than just a round of golf. The sea constitutes a water hazard at several of the holes and the beaches act as natural bunkers. Lofoten Golf Links is a scoop for those who are also interested in nature. Seals, stoats, otters and foxes are common sights on or near the course, and birds like white-tailed eagles, ptarmigan, oystercatchers, starlings, ducks and seabirds like cormorants, gannets and eider ducks are also seen daily on or near the course.

Summer and the midnight sun make for wonderful adventures here, and if you are lucky you may have the sun as your companion 24 hours a day. The various seasons offer a variety of challenges and a round of golf in the autumn, in wind and rain, can be something of a challenge, too. The links are located on the island of Gimsøya in the heart of Lofoten, approx. 45 km southwest of Svolvær and 50 km northeast of Leknes. If you are driving to the course, follow the E10 to Sundklakkbrua bridge on Gimsøy, where you turn off and follow the road signs to the golf course. It is less than an hour’s drive from most of the overnight accommodations in Lofoten.
