The Lofoten War Memorial Museum

The largest exhibition of items from the Second World War in Norway

The museum displays a large amount of rare items and uniforms from WW2. You can view the flag from Blücher and colonel Birger Eriksen who gave the order to sink it. Further you can see the coat worn by Nordahl Grieg. You will find the dramatic story of Jan Baalsrud and of those who were dangerous to him – Gestapo.

The museum exhibits about 140 rare uniforms and a number of items. A British veteran wrote in our guestbook: “Must be one of the best museums of its kind, may be the best.“
